How does BulkEmailSetup work?

Three steps. 1. You buy the hosting: a VPS or dedicated server, extra IPs for sending, and spare domains. We tell you where to get them. 2. We set it up: install the email app and SMTP server, configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC and rDNS, and set up IP and domain rotation. This takes about 3 to 4 days. 3. You warm up: start with low volume and raise it step by step over about 30 days while watching deliverability. We give you the warm-up plan.

Do you send emails on my behalf?

No. We set up a platform that sends from your own servers. You control the sender address, domain and content. If you would rather have experts run your campaigns, contact us and we can discuss it.

Do you provide email data or lists?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not sell or supply email lists, for two reasons. Supplying data could break privacy and anti-spam laws like GDPR and CAN-SPAM. And purchased lists hurt deliverability. Upload your own verified list to the app and clean it regularly to remove invalid or unengaged contacts. Sending to bought or unverified lists damages your sending reputation. If you are unsure about a list, validate and clean it first.

How is BulkEmailSetup different from Mailchimp or other email service providers?

BulkEmailSetup is self-hosted and paid once. You own the infrastructure, with a fixed number of IPs, domains and SMTP servers based on your plan. The main differences: 1. Infrastructure: Mailchimp uses shared delivery servers and its own sending rules. With us you own and run your SMTP servers. 2. Volume: Mailchimp enforces daily and monthly limits and bans cold email. We have no such restrictions, as long as your servers, IPs and domains can handle the volume. 3. Pricing: Mailchimp charges by subscriber count, so costs grow with your list. We have no contact limits and no per-subscriber fees. 4. Delivery options: Mailchimp only offers its own delivery. We let you use your own SMTP servers and also connect Amazon SES, Mailgun or SparkPost. 5. IPs and domains: Mailchimp gives you no control over sending IPs. We give you dedicated IPs and domains, rotate them, and can replace blacklisted ones for an extra fee. 6. Cold email: Mailchimp may suspend accounts for it. BulkEmailSetup is built for it, with dedicated IPs, multiple domains and no list size limits.

What does it cost to set up an email server?

You pay us once for the setup, and you pay your hosting provider a small monthly amount for the server and IPs. Basic: $549 one-time ($799 with white label). 1 SMTP server, 3 IPs, 1 domain, 25,000 emails a day. Advance: $1,199 one-time ($1,499 with white label). 3 SMTP servers, 15 IPs, 4 domains, 200,000 emails a day. Custom: $2,997 one-time ($4,851 with white label). 12 SMTP servers, 60 IPs, 13 domains, 1,000,000 emails a day. The white-label version adds your own branding, a reseller panel, automatic IP warm-up and priority support. Pick standard for your own sending, white label if you will offer email marketing to clients.

Is pricing based on emails sent or subscribers?

Neither. There are no per-email fees and no per-subscriber fees. You pay a one-time setup fee based on the plan, plus the hosting (VPS, IPs, domains) you buy directly from your provider. Contacts are limited only by your server's RAM, CPU and storage, not by a plan tier. Costs depend on server resources, not on how much you send, so they stay predictable. For comparison at 100,000 contacts, Mailchimp charges about $299 a month and SendGrid about $499 a month. Here you pay the setup once and then only the small hosting bill.

Are there monthly charges from BulkEmailSetup?

No. We charge a one-time setup fee only. Your only ongoing cost is the hosting you pay directly to your provider, roughly $11 to $170 a month depending on the plan. After the setup and free support period, extended support plans are available if you want them.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Basic to Advance costs $750 ($999 with white label) and keeps your existing data and campaigns. Advance to Custom needs a full Custom purchase, because Custom runs on dedicated servers with a different architecture.

What are the restrictions, and what type of emails can I send?

Accepted Answer

Allowed: marketing emails (promotions, newsletters, product updates), B2B cold outreach that follows CAN-SPAM and GDPR, and informational emails such as blog updates and announcements. Not allowed: phishing or fraud, scams and pyramid schemes, malware or virus links, and illegal or restricted content such as drugs, counterfeits or adult material. You must also authenticate your domain (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), warm up IPs, follow CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL, and keep bounce and complaint rates low. Send only to verified contacts and clean your lists regularly.

Can I send cold emails?

Yes, as long as you follow CAN-SPAM, GDPR and similar rules. Cold email works when done responsibly. Use a verified, relevant list to avoid hard bounces. Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Warm up your IPs first, the automatic warm-up feature handles this on Advance and Custom. Write useful, non-spammy content without clickbait. You can send through your own SMTP for full control, or connect Amazon SES or Mailgun. Results depend on list quality, compliance and ongoing monitoring.

Why are there sending limits on my own email server?

Even on your own server, inbox providers watch incoming volume. Sending too fast from a new IP triggers spam filters, and complaints, bounces and low engagement lower your sender score. Your server's CPU, RAM and bandwidth also set a ceiling. Your practical limit depends on server type, number of IPs, domain age and reputation, warm-up progress and list quality. Typical safe volumes: a fresh setup sends 1,000 to 2,000 a day (50 to 100 an hour). During the first 2 to 4 weeks of warm-up, 5,000 to 20,000 a day (500 to 1,000 an hour). An established server with trusted IPs sends 50,000 or more a day (2,000 or more an hour). Use IP and domain rotation, grow volume gradually, authenticate properly, and watch opens, bounces and complaints.

Can you guarantee my emails will land in the inbox?

No. We give you the tools and best practices, but inbox providers make the final call, and spam filters, user behaviour and reputation systems are outside our control. If an IP or domain gets blacklisted, you can buy new ones and we help you switch, for an extra fee based on the work involved. A Cloud App subscription includes future replacements. Any replacement needs a re-warm-up. Connecting Amazon SES, Mailgun or SparkPost can also improve delivery.

Is there a limit to the number of contacts I can import?

No. Import as many contacts as you need. The only practical limit is your server's capacity.

Do I need my own email marketing software and SMTP server?

Accepted Answer

Software: every plan includes our email marketing app, installed and ready. You can also use your own app or CRM if you prefer. SMTP: every plan sets up your own SMTP server on your VPS, with dedicated IPs and domains, for unlimited sending within your infrastructure. If you do not want to manage servers, you can instead connect a third-party SMTP or API such as Mailgun, Amazon SES or SendGrid, or a mailbox like Google Workspace, Outlook 365 or Zoho. Those charge based on your usage. Sending limits on our SMTP by plan: Basic about 25,000 a day (1,050 an hour), Advance 200,000 a day (8,500 an hour), Custom 1,000,000 a day (41,700 an hour). External SMTP needs no setup and manages reputation for you, but is limited by the provider's plan and billed monthly. Your own SMTP needs a VPS, IPs and domains, and you manage warm-up, but you get full control and pay once.

What is SMTP?

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the system that moves email from one server to another, like a postal service for email. In your setup it lets you send through your own server. SMTP servers are set up per your plan, with multiple IPs and domains rotated for better delivery.

Third-party services such as Amazon SES, Mailgun and SparkPost that handle delivery so you do not manage your own SMTP servers or IPs. You can use the built-in SMTP, or connect one of these for possibly higher deliverability, since they have large infrastructure and strong reputation management. They charge extra based on volume.

Yes. Poor sending practices or a blacklisted IP can push your mail to spam, so replacement matters. Buy new IPs or domains and we help you switch, for an extra fee. A Cloud App subscription includes future replacements. New IPs or domains always need a re-warm-up.

What is IP or domain blacklisting?

Blacklisting is when an inbox provider or spam filter flags your IP, domain or address as suspicious, usually after large unsolicited volume or spam complaints. Blacklisted mail lands in spam or is blocked. The fix is the same as above: new IPs or domains with our help for an extra fee, or a Cloud App subscription that includes replacements, followed by a re-warm-up.

What is the white-label solution?

The white-label option lets you run the platform as your own email marketing service. Host it on your domain, replace our branding with your logo, and set your own prices. You get unlimited customer accounts, custom sending limits per customer, and customers can send from their own verified domains. We handle server management, updates, bug fixes and security. You avoid building a platform from scratch, keep brand consistency, and can position yourself as a full email service provider. It costs $799 on Basic, $1,499 on Advance and $4,851 on Custom, one-time.
